Droofus the Dragon taught me – to find my purpose.
Cyrus the sea serpent taught me- to be myself.

Clyde the horse taught me- bravery.
The Gnats of Knotty Pine showed the smallest creatures can be the biggest heroes.
Buford the Little Bighorn showed physical disabilities don’t have to limit you.
Katy Caboose showed dreams can come true.

As I skim through his collection, I remembered being a little kid always eager to visit my library to find more of his wonderfully illustrated books.

In his lifetime, Bill Peet wrote 36 books and many are unfamiliar titles for me. So, I am happy that I will discover new stories as I share them with my son.
